Some things people might ask:

1.) Can I install a car stereo myself?

It depends on the model of your car and how adventurous you want to be. Most of the new cars have built in molding all over the factory stereo unit. So this stuff can be a pain to remove, unless you have the professional tools. Like most things in life, you need to do research on the subject. Ask your car dealer and look online for do-it-yourself projects with your model of car.

2.) Should I buy the new iPod?

This is completely up to you. Consider how much you would use it. And where would you use it. Read the reviews online, read the details on the company website. If you have a working ipod, do you really need a new one? Again its all your preference.

3.) How can I connect my MP3 player to my car stereo?

There are various ways. Most of the new car stereos have an audio input jack, so you can connect directly there. For those of us without input jacks there are FM transmitters, which usually connect to the cigarette lighter plug, or 12V plug. Since most cars don't some with cigarette lighters anymore. With these you can hear your MP3 player through a selected FM radio station. There are also fancier car stereos that have iPod cables built into them. These are the basic methods.

4.) How loud can I legally have my car stereo?

This most likely depends on where you live. A story I read on Florida, says any car stereo you can hear from 25 feet away is illegal. You will have to look up the local laws for your area.

5.) I have a huge digital music collection, but no MP3 player? What can I do?

If you don't want to deal with an MP3 player in your car, you can get a stereo that will play MP3 cds. You can have a ton of songs on one disc. It is hard to navigate the cd though, you just have to play them in order most of the time. The newer stereos are coming out with USB ports, so with the same idea of a MP3 cd. You load up a bunch of songs on a flash drive and play them on your stereo.
