• This is an investment for your time and safety, so don’t be cheap. Always choose a device of higher quality over a cheap model that may prove unreliable.
• Find out what maps come preloaded onto your GPS. As well as the storage method of the maps. Are they on a hard drive or a flash card.
• You may want one that keeps track of your cars speed. Your company may want this to track to their drivers. Or you may want it if you get pulled over by the police.
• All devices have a learning curve, but look for a user friendly model that you can easily navigate with.
• Decide if you want a portable unit, or one that is built into your dash.
• See what kind of battery life the unit has.
